Live High

Do you believe you can make a difference in today’s world?
Do your beliefs really matter?
Have you failed in the eyes on someone you look up to?
Are you being singled out amongst your friends?

Have you fallen short of the grace of God?
When you are convicted of your sin, do you feel unacceptable to God?
Do you think God does not love you? That he won’t take you back…again?

If any of the questions have left you pondering, I certainly hope it was one of the last three and not the four above. The first set of questions are about how we feel with regard to what the WORLD wants from us. And the last three are thinking in terms of God’s standard .

We are stewards of Christ placed in a specific region to be a witness. People will always be around to bring us down, tear us apart or mock us. This is something I recently learnt, people are gonna judge you whether you do something or not. So why bother to live according to their standards? Live higher, set your standards higher – live for Christ. In this world, negativity and materialism may sink in our minds that we don’t have enough to please the world, hence the feeling of being unwanted. Others seem to have it all – the money, the brains, the talk & the attitude but do they have Christ? Do not feel useless just because you don’t have what the world expects. You have the peace of God, the love of Christ & the voice of the Holy Spirit – use that grace to portray Christ through yourself to the World. People will listen, they may not react how we desire they should. But hey, you’ve done your part – standing up for Christ.

So think in terms of what Christ expects from you. Live up to the mark God has set for you. And yes, you will fall, we all do. But is the world gonna carry you at that time? There will be struggles, brokenness & self questioning. None of us are perfect; those last three questions may pop back in to our head - but the best thing about our God is that He is there to lift you back up. He will not reject you, you belong to Him and that pleases him. Just remember to keep Christ as the centre of your life and Live High & Mighty for HIM!

For the sake of His great name, the Lord will not reject his people because the Lord was pleased to make you his own – 1 Samuel 12:22
