Shouting it out

Wow! So we are more than halfway gone in 2011 and what a rocketing year it's been so far. Time zooms by so fast. Every day random thoughts bombard my head while I balance accounts at work, have a shower, grill chicken for dinner or even as I walk to work. And I barely have a minute to sit down and blog about it. But there should be no excuses. I just need to improve my time management skills.

Indeed and as always, I am blessed. Life has been keeping me so busy, I have no complains about that! It's with joy I do all the things I do. Moving on in life is never easy. Changes happen. People change. Job processes change. Fashion changes. Technology advances. Life in general throws more responsibility day by day. Oh and yea, friends change too, relationships are broken, there is pain & joy in some. Yea, but well that's life and I wouldn't want it to be any other way. Content is how I feel today! So here are random thoughts, feelings and acts I've encountered the past couple of months....

  • I've been inspired by so many people, songs, lyrics, obviously God and many other challenges people face.
  • I've been annoyed with suck ups who want the fame, glory, money and name.
  • I've been hurt by how disrespectful the world is to God. I feel his pain.
  • My heart is saddened by people's lives who revolve around getting drunk week after week or sometimes even daily, are they that immature?
  • Finally - I started baking. Pies! Cookies! Cakes!
  • I'm learning not to judge and boy is it hard! I am glad to say I am getting better at it though.
  • I've been royally taken for granted to a very high extent and didn't get a simple word of "appreciation" from people who are so called role models in lives.
  • I've laughed and had a ball of a time with great friends! Not forgetting rocking out to awesome live concerts!
  • It hurts to see how homosexuality is spreading around the world. I mean they are now teaching it's history in schools? Seriously? That's allowed but religion is a no-no! Woh! God created Man & Woman. Period.
  • I've taken my writing to another level - yes, songwriting! I've also been working on getting my finger calluses hardened up because I'm brushing up playing the guitar again.
  • I've seen drama and unwanted politics revolve around everyday whereabouts. It's sad how all of it is born out of Gossip.
  • I've been a victim to racism within my own type, looks like some people never think right in terms of equality. I guess am not Sri Lankan enough for some folks.
  • Oh and I've become a twitter junkie. It's so much more fun, informative, inspiring and trendy than Facebook these days. And how can I not mention that Bryce (Lifehouse), Josh Paul (Daughtry), Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20) & Orianthi have tweeted me! (All four are inspiring songwriters/musicians)
Above all, I'm just so thankful for my life.... I might have offended some of your beliefs in my thoughts above but hey - my blog, my words, my opinion!

Taaa,
Gino!

    I like :)
As for the drunkards of this world, we have no excuses. But some, or even most of us drink with the misguided perception that it will help us get through painful times. In my experience, it's just a temporary fix and it takes a lot of guts to face reality without the help of alcohol. Anyway, it was nice to read your random thoughts :)

  5. I've heard that all before so when I went through dark/painful times in my life i figured "this is the point where I am supposed to drink", thankfully, I didn't and honestly tell me - what satisfaction does it bring you in the end? After recovering from a horrible hangover, you need to once again face all that pain in life. However, in my thoughts, i was referring to the people who just drink because its "cool" & the "in" thing and there is no fun in life without alcohol - which is sooo wrong and sad. I really pity that life in people.

Yea the ones who drink for the sake of trying to fit in or look cool should grow up IMHO. Whats to do men? Can only hope for the best for them.
