The Christmas Hope

These five words are found in most Christmas cards or quotes associated with Christmas or well, even just love. We all know the greatest of these is Love. Faith is an extremely simple but strong word. Joy & Peace just brings a sense of calm. I don't know about you, but I usually overlook the word "Hope".

Last week didn't go exactly how I wished Christmas Week-Eve would play out to be. From Monday's Sydney Siege tragedy, to more than 100 innocent children's lives taken away so ruthlessly in Pakistan and digesting some distressing news myself personally as well - I needed something. Something that could lead me to press on. Something not of this world. Something that just gives hope.

Which is when I realized, yea it's Christmas.

The world we live in today is heartless. As tears streamed down most of our faces last week, I couldn't help but hope for it all to end soon. I honestly have no hope in the world. Be it from politicians, world leaders to technology - they don't seem to solve it. So where do we go from here?

"A ray of HOPE flickers in the sky
A tiny star, lights up way up high
All across the land, dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass, when a child is born"
Boney M

There is Hope through the Light of that star.

The miraculous birth of a King who saved us all.
Christmas was my answer.

I have hope in a better world to come. Jesus Christ came into this world to be our light, our shepherd, our Saviour and our anchor of Hope. He was born to save and showed us that only He can overcome evil & darkness. He is The Light Of The World!

Jesus is all the hope we need.
Look for that bright shining star, seek your light!
And remember, Hope was born this Christmas night.

I wish you a very Blessed Christmas with HOPE for a brighter year ahead!
Love,
Ginelle
