A Momentary Escape

Do you see that place far away? Covered behind the city skyline? I guess it’s those odd shaped sky scrapers blocking your view. It’s a distant land where everyone longs to be. To get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s hidden behind the clouds through the mist. I wish it could be seen more clearly. Or even better, I wish I could go there. Do you want to come along?

How amazing would it be just to hear the sound of waves crashing or the birds chirping? This place just seems to be the ideal getaway. No noisy car horns or having to reply to those urgent emails. Oh and in case you were thinking, I am not trying to make this sound like a write up for a cheesy “dream holiday” commercial.

It’s just somewhere in a land far far away to escape from your daily schedule. Somewhere nobody knows your name or who you are. Somewhere problems just get blown away by the cool breeze. Or somewhere time stands still in calmness and tranquility. Somewhere you can run across the field feeling the sense of freedom. To not care about the petit things around you but to be thankful for the life you’ve been given. To reminisce about all those childhood memories, to remember just those happy days, to be amazed how we’ve gotten through the hard times – just feel good about yourself!! This place erases all those depressing times gone by and makes you forget those troubled sleepless nights. The beauty and splendor of the peaceful surrounding is all that matters.

Imagine you are in this place. Experiencing total serenity of everything creation has to offer. You want to cherish and treasure that moment of relaxation and not let the vision slip away. You avoid having the feeling that you are being forced back to your real life. But HEY! You can’t run away from the fact – face it, I mean you are living in the real world and not a fantasy and we have to deal with it. Isn’t that life?

Oh but yea, the escape to dreamland sounds so more inviting doesn’t it? Haven’t you just thought how would life be there in that distant land, far away? Well I’d love to make small trips there just to escape from all what’s happening today. I reckon you should try it too, you won’t feel like coming back but I guess we all have no choice in staying there. It’s just a momentary escape to that place you want it to be…
