Embrace This Grace

Years come and go. Resolutions are made and no sooner they are broken. Partying into the new year never made sense to me. Been there, done that. Passed that stage. Church - I like. Fireworks - Beautiful! Makes sense. You stand in awe, thankfulness and gratitude. Hoping in the best thats yet to come.
Be it by Burj Khalifa or Burj Al Arab in Dubai to Sydney Harbor or even by the Yarra River in Melbourne. Fireworks reflect my year that was & is to come. They burst with joy. Sprinkle down. There are those little sparks that fly into those shining times. It's just magnificent!
Time to reminiss.
What were my ups? When did I fall? Who helped me up? Was I thankful through it all? Did I learn my lessons well?
I sure hope so.
I think of the tears, the laughter, good times, trials & hardships.
Thankful for friends - the new, the old, the lost, the confused & messed up.
Really hope you guys find your way.
I remember the times my faith was tested, the times I felt lost, times I jumped for joy, times I stood in awe or even times I was just thrown off a stage.
Yes, that happened!

Think of the tragedies, the lives lost, disasters, breakthroughs, calamities & war.
Cruelty in this world. Shootings.
Continue praying for peace, for justice.
We need it more than ever.

As I turn and see 2014 dawning upon me this morning - I know whats gotten me through it all.
T'was Grace.
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
And Grace will lead me home
John Newton - Amazing Grace
I'm not sure how each of our 2014 is gonna turn out. I see short comings but also times of gladness. I leave you with this. Know that it is the Grace of God that has gotten you to where you are now. Trust in this Grace to lead you into a "Blessed New Year".'
Embrace this Grace.
Have a Blessed New Year!
Gino.
